Technical and artistic skills (267 hours)
- Assembly of all types of bouquets, table centres, traditional and modern arrangements (bouquets for clients, round, short, horizontal and vertical bouquets) and packaging.
Study of different styles (decorative, linear, vegetative and formal) allied to different techniques (grouped, cascaded, parallel, Egyptian, Roman, English and Glamelia).
- Study on the theme of marriage: baskets, bride's bouquet, various corsages, decoration of the car, the restaurant and the church.
- Study on the theme of bereavement: classic and contemporary style tributes (sheaf, spray, posy, cross, grave decoration, cushion and heart).
Study of a number of different themes; dependant on when the course takes place (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Christmas).
- Work with dried and silk flowers: mounting techniques and applications (weaving, plaiting, sticking)
- Execution of a large design and a window: design, structure and build a decor (make out an estimate)
- knowledge of plants (maintenance and care) and the making up of collections (herb gardens, packages)
Legal and commercial aspects (38 hours)
Study and chose from various legal structures, draw up a finance plan (find the finance, choose the most advantageous terms).
- Market research: interpret conclusions and make forecasts.
- Study financial aspect of the business (manage cash).
- Know how to buy: appreciate quality and price, get to know suppliers.
- draw up a business plan: fix objectives, present and sell products, make special offers and use publicity
- layout the sales point: decoration, atmosphere, shop sign, windows, furniture, lighting, signing.
