Technical and artistic skills
> Design and assembly
- Trends in floral art (lines, shapes, materials, colours, materials, accessories).
- Bouquets: different shapes and techniques.
- Arrangements, formal and business arrangements.
- Study on the theme of marriage: baskets, bride's bouquet, various corsages, decoration of the car, the restaurant and the church.
- Study on the theme of bereavement: classic and contemporary style tributes (sheaf, spray, posy, cross, tomb decoration, cushion and heart).
- Themed decors: festivals and events.
- Dried flowers: mounting and assembly
- Knowing how to advise clients and meet their requirements.
Green and flowering plants
knowledge of plants (maintenance and care) and the making up of collections (herb gardens, packages)
Laying out the inside and outside of a shop
- Architecture of a point of sale
- The window: Theory of window dressing - how to design a display - design and carry out small interior design projects (know what materials your need, material and other accessories) make some decorative elements.
- Techniques of signing and labelling
> Use graphic arts derived from drawing tools for work and sales - from a project to its implementation - presentational drawings
> Acquire some knowledge of the history of architecture in order to enrich the research and the execution of the floral decoration of an outstanding site.
Manage shop sales
- Study and chose from various legal structures, draw up a finance plan
- Validate the market research and the estimated returns.
- Basic daily bookeeping: till and registration, rotation of stock
- Sales policy: Key strategy, direction, skills, quality of the products and sales prices. Communication.
- Recommendations concerning the layout of the shop (decoration, atmosphere, shop sign, windows, furniture, lighting, signing).
