Technical and artistic skills
- Do all work connected with the preparation of flowers. Master tone harmony Make up bouquets, arrangements both classic and contemporary.
- Complete a range of work on bereavements: posies, wreaths, cushions, crosses, grave decorations, and coffin tributes).
- Complete a range of work on weddings: baskets, bouquets, floral gifts, decoration of cars.
Decorations with dried and silk flowers.
- Wrapping techniques
- Mastering the techniques of drawing and watercolour.
Technical knowledge
- Botany, floriculture and protection of plants: understand green plants and flowering plants, their care and upkeep, the putting together of plants, gardens and tubs.
Legal and commercial aspects
- Understand the needs of a shop: buy flowers, plants, supplies and accessories and understand quality and prices.
- Market research: know your clients, know how to organise oneself and know how to get information, reduce losses, and apply multplying factors correctly.
- How to sell: sales techniques, expressing oneself well, using the telephone, dressing windows.
