Active and differentiated teaching
PIVERDIERE’s multi-disciplinary teaching team’s ai mis to train every student in a way that brings out the complementary nature of our various programmes. Our students need to acquire skills that are at one and the same time, artistic, technical and business orientated so that by the end of their training they will be able to understand the professional setting in which they find themselves. Because each student brings to the course different competences, each training program is individually tailored.
The small number of students (10-14 in each training group) means that our teachers can provide active and differentiated teaching. From the putting in place of role-playing exercices (shop scenarios) to personalized follow-up, the staff are there to listen to the students, to help them draw up their own personal training agenda which will meet their professional objectives.
The quality and professionalism of the Piverdière instructors and the range of the training programs means that not only are the students prepared for the French professional examinations (CAP, BP, CQP) but they are also able to take control of their search for professional posts.
Professional experience as part of the teaching method
To ensure that the students have the right skills in an increasingly global market, Piverdière includes work experience in all its teaching at a number of different levels
- The instructors when organizing practical work prefer total immersion in the world of work; for example the purchase of equipment from a professional partner.
- Associate experts that are working experts, will join the training to pass on their expertise and their knowledge of the conditions on the ground.
- Floristry trainees can take part in competitions that encourage the sort of competitive spirit that will stand them in good stead when they enter a competitive working environment.
- Periods of work experience, of between 3 and 10 weeks, are part of training curriculum.
